This year the Junior School celebrated Matariki together. We thought about the things that make Matariki special and how it is celebrated. Some of these things included - whanau time, kai, singing and dancing, playing games and being together. Each classroom had a different station which reflected one of these things.
Kereru - Baking star biscuits
Toutouwai - Ancient games (knuckle bones, string games)
Kakapo - Making a feast
Piwakawaka - Song and dance
We finished the day with a feast altogether.
Have a look below at some of our fun from the day.
