Cyber smart

Gerhard has started coming in to teach us about being Cyber smart.  For our first session we learnt ways to look after the iPad and treat it with respect.

Always hug hold the iPad.

Put the iPad in the middle of the table.

Always pass the iPad with two hands.

Only put four iPads on top of each other.

Respect

Respect is what Waikowhai students try to show every day.  We have been learning how we can show respect to ourselves, our environment, and each other.  We made a big book for our classroom library so that we can read about respect every day.  Have a look!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Welcome to 2019

Welcome to 2019 and the Piwakawaka whanau.  We have had a great start to the year.  We will be working with Waikowhai Intermediate over the year, with a special focus on writing.  Your child will have a 'big' buddy to help them with their writing.  We met our buddies on Thursday.
