Welcome back to Term 3

It is great to be back at school after an exciting holiday.  We have lots going on this term.
1. Gymnastics - once a week we will be learning gymnastic skills in the hall.
2. Cross country - Week 3 will see us zooming around the school for the cross country.
3. Our Inquiry this term is all about Forces.  It would be great if at home, children could think about things that move with a push or a pull.
4. Art Festival - During Week 7, you can come and view the wonderful art that children at Waikowhai Primary have been busy completing.

AND LOTS more!
Keep looking at our blog throughout the term for other exciting things that are happening in Room 3.

Have a look at some pictures of us during our first gymnastics lesson.  We were learning to make static shapes and to balance in different ways.

  1. Kia ora room 3,
My name is Tania and I live in Whangarei. Do you know where that is? I am a teacher too and I get to look at lots of children's blogs to see what they are learning about. WOW it looks like you have a busy term ahead of you! Gymnastics looks like heaps of fun! You will be learning good balancing skills. Good luck with your training for the cross country - I love running, especially on tracks. Do you have a good cross country track? Enjoy your term in Room 3.

  3. Kia ora Room 3 - Gymnastics looks awesome! You look like you all made some great shapes with your bodies and practised balancing in different ways. At our house this week, we saw one of your class members practising doing the splits after gym class. Can you guess who it is? (she might hide if you read this out loud). Can't wait to read about your term 3 learning adventures! Ka kite - Selena

  4. Room Three, I can tell that you were really enjoying your gymnastics session. What fantastic balancing. I also know that you have been practising your song and dance for our production - I will look forward to coming to R3 to see this next week. :-)

  5. Hi Room 3 @ Waikowhai School. We are Room 3 from Edmund Hillary School.
We are 5 and 6 years old and we like to learn.
We agree with Tania and we think that you have got a very busy term ahead. Our teacher is Keri and we have another teacher, Louise, who works with some of us between 8.45am and 12.30pm (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday), and another teacher, Sue, who works with some of us on Thursday and Friday mornings. We are excited to be buddies with you and getting to know you all.
Have a look at our blog - www.ehsallstars.co.nz and get to know us a bit better.

  6. Wonderful gymnastics shapes Room 3. I don't think I could do that as good as you. Maybe one day I could watch you do your awesome gymnastics?
