Swimming Demonstration

On Wednesday we had our Swimming Demonstration to show all the things we had been learning over the year.  A big thank you to all families who came along to watch.

 

 

Maths

We are learning to recall our basic facts instantly.

We are learning to know our 5 and ... facts.

Today we worked together using cubes, our hands and the iPads to show different patterns.

We are getting faster and faster at these basic facts.

Cyber smart

Gerhard has started coming in to teach us about being Cyber smart.  For our first session we learnt ways to look after the iPad and treat it with respect.

Always hug hold the iPad.

Put the iPad in the middle of the table.

Always pass the iPad with two hands.

Only put four iPads on top of each other.

Respect

Respect is what Waikowhai students try to show every day.  We have been learning how we can show respect to ourselves, our environment, and each other.  We made a big book for our classroom library so that we can read about respect every day.  Have a look!
